Another tough day at the “Office”

Today I stopped by California Billiards for my daily workout and focused on shots 37 – 42.  I was surprised by the deceptive difficulty of shot 37.  Although shots 37 and 38 are both basically the same shot hit with different speeds, for some reason I had great difficulty avoiding a corner pocket scratch on shot 37, whereas with shot 38 I had no difficulty with the corner pocket at all.  Another surprise was shots 41 and 42.  I anticipated only making one or two of these shots due to both the distances and angles involved; however, I was able to deliver 5 and 8 respectively.  That was a small glimmer of hope in the midst of a very tough day at the table.  I certainly have my work cut out for me this week as I attempt to master shots 31 through 42.
