A little knowledge can be dangerous

Look out world…I just figured out how to make videos and upload them to YouTube.  Ok, Ok, it only took me 8 months to figure it out, but better late than never, right?  I guess this means there will soon be videos available to document some of the drills I’m shooting.  More updates in the next few days.

  1. Hi Michael, As I am now following your progress, I am glad to know that you will be putting some video on “youtube” I started playing pool since I retired. I don’t have any aspirations of becoming a “pro”, but I want to play as well as I can. I play in an APA league where I am a skill level “9” in 9-ball and a “7” in 8-ball. I’m 63 years old. I have a rather unique way of training my stroke you might want to see. It’s on “youtube” “Zenpoolman” – Stroke Practice. If you have the time, look at it. You might find it useful. I wish you the best of luck in you pursuit—Never Quit.

    • Ray, I just watched your video on YouTube, and I really enjoyed it. I’ve never seen that drill before. It’s good because it forces you to position your body appropriately, stroke straight, keep your follow through in line, and keep your head down. Very nice. I look forward to trying this one myself! I keep finding that one of the most important things to do in practice is constantly go back and revisit fundamentals. If your fundamentals are very solid, you have the ability to keep improving your skills. Also, if you’ve achieved APA levels of “9” in 9-ball and “7” in 8-ball in a couple years of practice, you are doing quite well! Keep up the great work!
