CPPT Santa Cruz Day 1 Results

The Santa Cruz stop on the CPPT tour kicked off yesterday around 1pm. I got lucky and drew a first round bye, which afforded me the opportunity to watch some of the other matches and put down a bacon BBQ cheeseburger (yum yum!) I guess you could say I’m on the George Foreman training plan. Anyway, in my second round match I didn’t think I played very well, but still managed to win 7-3. In the third round, I played absolutely terrible and quickly got behind 2-6 in a race to 7. Not a good thing! I finally settled down, and fought my way back to hill-hill (6-6), before losing the last game for a 6-7 loss. I went to the one-loss side, and won my fourth round match 7-3. That qualified me to play in the day 2 championship round, and guaranteed me to finish in the money. The tournament will continue today as the championship bracket kicks off at noon.
