I just ran 7 straight racks of 8 ball! Not a single miss!!
I was intending to only practice 8 ball break shots today, but on the first break the table looked so good, I decided to try to run it. I ran the table. I broke again, got a good table spread, and ran again. And again. And again, and again, and again, and again. In retrospect, it may have been a dumb decision on my part, but after the 7th successful run, I decided to quit. Honestly, I was slightly freaked out by it. I called it quits and went back to my office…the shortest lunch break ever. I think the most I’ve ever run in a row, prior to today, was two, maybe three…and I’ve only done that once or twice in my entire life.
What the heck happened to me today? I have no idea!! I was very confident the entire time. I never got nervous. I was seeing the balls and focusing very well. Uncharacteristically, my distance control was excellent for some reason. In two games, I actually lost cue ball control but was able to salvage both games with a couple of massively improbable combination shots. Truly baffling!!!!
Holy cow! That’s impressive! Great work!!!
Thanks Samm! I’m still shocked…trying to figure out what changed. I have a couple thoughts about something that may have contributed to the improvement, but I’ll write about that on Thursday. Of course, it could just be luck. Who knows?
