The Lemon Drop Cure

Lemon Drop Cure

I’ve been suffering from muscle spasms in my lower back for a several days now, but it’s nothing a little Motrin, Ketel One Citroen, Simple Syrup, and Menthol patches can’t handle.  Besides, what could hurt worse than missing a day of pool?  I’ve got to go for the quick cure because there’s a league game tonight and I’m playing another “7”.  That means I’ll need a little medication up front, then I’ll spend some extra time loosening up my back.  This weekend, I was feelin’ oh so bad, I asked my family doctor just what I had.  I said, “Doctor {Doctor}, Mr. M.D.{Doctor}…can you tell me, tell me, tell me, what’s ailin’ me? {Doctor}”  And he said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah {yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah}.  Yes, indeed, all you really need . . .is good pool!”  Now gimme that good good pool!

Here’s what the good doctor prescribed for me today:
1. Rolling safe drill – Continue to refine my safety game.
2. Fundamentals 4 drill – Shoot 15 balls and focus on straight stroking.
3. Fundamentals 5 drill – Just do it and stop whining.
4. Classic 3 drill – Work on short distance position play.
5. Challenge 1 drill – Work on long distance position play.
6. Challenge 4 drill – A good workout, and just plain fun!
7.  Add a little medication as needed.
