Fundamentals

The key to playing great pool is having very solid fundamentals.  No matter how good you get, there’s always room for improvement.  I have three pages under the Fundamentals tab.  Below I provide a brief summary of each.

Basic Knowledge:  Core concepts all pool players should know.  Covers various topics such as stop shots, follow shots, draw shots, side (English), and aiming methods.

Basic Strategy:  Key concepts all pool players should be familiar with.  Covers various topics such as getting on the “right” side of the line, looking three shots ahead, and looking at the whole table to identify problems before you start shooting.

Execution:  These are the critical concepts that all pool players should know.  Covers various topics including visualization, stance, bridge, grip, stroke, eye movement, follow through, and the pause (assessment).
